Question 1: The “Executive Summary” Prompt This prompt demonstrates the AI’s ability to quickly distill a large document into its most critical points.
“Provide a one-paragraph summary of this document, highlighting the key changes and takeaways that will most directly affect a school district.”
Question 2: The “Implementation Checklist” Prompt This prompt shows how AI can turn dense information into an actionable plan.
“Create a bulleted list of the top 5 new changes or action items from this document that our district will need to consider implementing. For each point, briefly explain why it is important.”
Question 3: The “Communications Draft” Prompt This prompt showcases AI’s ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
“Draft two short, clear messages based on this document:
- A bulleted message explaining the five most important teacher-facing changes for our staff.
- A friendly and thought leadership message explaining the five most important parent-facing changes for a school newsletter.”

This prompt demonstrates the AI’s ability to identify role-specific relevance and find precise information.
“Identify the single most important takeaway in this document for a your role. Quote the exact sentence or bullet point that supports your choice and provide the page number where it can be found.”
Question 5: The “Personalized Impact” Prompt
This prompt showcases the AI’s power to act as a consultant and apply general information to a specific context.
“Acting as a strategic advisor for my school district, insert your district’s name here, analyze this document and create a bulleted list of the top 3 potential impacts—operational, financial, or pedagogical—we need to consider. For each point, briefly explain your reasoning based on the text.”
Question 6: The “Stakeholder Responsibility” Prompt
This prompt demonstrates the AI’s ability to organize complex information into a simple, easy-to-read format.
“Based on the text, list the key stakeholders mentioned (e.g., DESE, school boards, teachers, superintendents) and summarize the primary responsibility or action required of each. Present this information in a simple two-column table formatted for excel

This prompt shows how AI can extract actionable information and deadlines, which is a critical administrative task.
“Scan this entire document for any mention of deadlines, implementation timelines, or effective dates. List any specific dates you find. If no dates are mentioned, summarize the section that implies the first steps a school district should take to align with this document.”
Question 8: The “Deeper Dive & Research” Prompt
This prompt is a powerful two-part command that demonstrates the conversational and research capabilities of AI.
“Regarding the section on pick a topic from the AI’s initial summary, like ‘teacher retention’ or ‘AI literacy, please clarify what is meant by the phrase pick a specific phrase from that section. Then, find one external resource or article that provides a real-world example of a school district successfully addressing this.”
